I booked Le Rivage for a night away for my husband's birthday. Even though we live in town, Le Rivage was an awesome getaway.

The staff are wonderful. Accomodating and polite. They allowed early check-in and I got an upgrade for being a member of IPrefer hotel group (free if you sign up online). We had a king suite with fireplace and balcony overlooking the Sacramento River.

The bed was the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. Pillow top plus exquisite sheets. The room had a nice leather couch, flat screen tv, small mini fridge hidden in the cabinet, and claw foot tub in the bathroom.

Even during the cold night, we enjoyed sitting by the outdoor firepit overlooking the river.

Also, if you have dinner plans outside the hotel, they have a towncar to take you where you want to go. Simply call the hotel and tell them when you are ready to go back. But, they only have one car, so reserve a time if you have reservations somewhere.

We loved our stay.
Rooms were so clean, new and comfy. We had a nice view of the river and there happened to be a holiday boat parade in progress ... lots of fun to watch!
All of the finishes and amenities of a 5star....the claw foot tub was perfect.
The best part of the stay was the spot-on, helpful service. The staff were always willing to help and were humorous and kind. No snobbiness here.

My husband and I spent a fantastic weekend at the beautiful Le Rivage Hotel in Sacramento.Le Rivage is located on the Sacramento River minutes away from Old Town. Our stay was absolutely the most romantic, peacful, and pampered weekend we have enjoyed at a hotel! The rooms are fabulously decorated with rich European decor. The bed coverings are elegant and welcoming, the marble bathroom has a separate shower and a claw foot tub to die for! What a relaxing way to soak your muscles after the bike ride down the river paths just beyond Le Rivage. The cool evenings were spent snuggling by the outdoor firepit with a bottle of chilled champagne. Le Rivage is definitely the best 4 star hotel we have vacationed at in a long time. With its resonable rates for all this luxury, Le Revige will be our destination the next time we need a weekend to relax and unwind.

On a recent trip to the Sierras, my wife and I spent a night at the Le Rivage hotel in Sacramento, CA. It has probably the nicest location in the city, since it is situated on a quiet stretch of the Sacramento River. The staff was courteous and friendly. The room was nice, but for the price small. Another problem with the room (and this is not just Le Rivage) was this. If they are going to reserve them for couples, why don`t they put two chairs in the room This is just in general annoying. As for our stay, I requested a river view room, which was provided. Also provided along with the view was a large wedding party in a tent between ourselves and the river. That the view was compromised was trivial. What wasn`t trivial was that incredibly loud music was played after the wedding for about 5 hours. At times the bass from the music was so loud that the room vibrated. That they put us there was inconsiderate. That they charged us extra for the privilege was unforgiveable. We will not stay at this hotel again.
