We chose this location because it was adjacent to the Convention Center. We arrived late and the lobby door was locked with a sign indicating you needed to show an ID and credit card before you could get in. There was a disco across the street with police cars outside as well. There are caged key lock doors on the stairway to keep the thugs out, but your key card won't work if you try to enter on the north side as I was told this was for "exit only". The room smelled of mold and tobacco (it was supposed to be non-smoking), and the remote control for the TV didn't work.
The "continental breakfast" was indeed pathetic: no juice in the dispenser, stale bagels, cereal of an unkown variety, AND the housekeeping staff was eating what little food was there for their breakfast. We spent the day out of the room and returned at 5:00 PM to find that housekeeping still hadn't cleaned the room. They had taken the towels and pillow cases-I had to track down one of the staff to get them replaced.
This property is located adjacent to a parking garage, and drivers departing the disco and downtown area squealed their tires while exiting until the wee hours.
The location is covenient, but I'll pass on this property the next time I'm in Sac Town.
