Our time at this facility has been one of the worst yet. Not only were we treated in an oblivious manner by the employee when we first arrived, but we were also welcomed by a swarm of flies outside our door. When we opened our door, the room wreaked of a cheap "fruity" detergent with a mix of overdue stench. The whole room was dingy and run down. The bathroom was the worst aspect of the whole room. It was small, dark, and dingy and had poor circulation. After awhile, it started smelling like the essence of a skunk, sweat, and overdue body odor. The walls were really thin and we could hear everything that was taking place around us from the outside. The parking was also horrible. This place was not worth what we were charged for. I will never recommend this place for anyone, nor will I ever stay at this place again.

A basic room, nothing special

This hotel was nothing special, just a basic room. However, my experience was better than some of the reviews would suggest. Front desk staff were efficient. The room was clean & spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Sacramento in a suburban area that seemed safe but not very interesting.

On Tuesday, Feb 24 my wife and I stopped by to reserve a room for some relatives and pay for it. My wife had just lost her mother and was expecting some relatives for the funeral. We stopped by and spoke with Neetu. She was helpful and had me fill out a form allowing them to charge my card. I gave her the names of the guests who were expected for two nights beginning on Thursday Feb 26, 2009. We also requested a crib and were assured all was fine with the reservations.

On Thursday evening our relatives showed up around 10:00 PM and tried to get the room. They were told by the night person, Mike, they could not have the room. He said I would have to come down to take care of the financials. I had already taken care of this with Neetu but he did not relent and insisted I travel some distance to come down at 11:00 PM and take care of things. The front desk had a record of my permission and all my credit card details. Mike was very rude to me and my relatives. When my sister-in-law told him they had just traveled 700 miles, driving 12 hours to come to her mother’s funeral, he just shrugged his shoulders as if it were her problem and left them standing outside in the cold.

He was nearly impossible to understand on the phone because of an accent. When I finally drove down to the hotel he was just as rude to me. It was as if we were bothering him. I had gone out of my way to set this up and had been assured by Neetu all was well but he was not about to accommodate us in any way. When I finally got there, Mike was belligerent (and I was furious). He tried to tell me we had done things wrong and it was my fault. He did allow them in the room though just before I got there so I take it he found a way to deal with the problem, but not before inconveniencing my grieving relatives and making my evening hell.
This is a very bad place. I used to stay there years ago but have written it off my list. Mike should be fired!

Dear customers,

I strongly do not recommend this place, because this is not a good section of town. On that note there where many unfavorable characters. Every one looked as if they where on drugs. The next thing the room stunk vary bad. The outlet was loose and going to fall out of the wall. The bathroom shower was terrible. It was like some one was peeing on you. The other thing is it was vary loud at night and the way it is set up, it echoes. The last thing the parking was terrible, I worried about my vehicle all night. one last thing is that Perkos across the street is an awesome place eat

There is a window (like a drive through restaurant) and signs posted that you will be charged extra if you pick up keys between midnight and 7, and a minuscule lobby. The lobby had signs informing you that there was a minumum of $5 for phone calls, that internet cost as well, that you would be charged for anything missing from rooms, etc. etc. The clerk in the lobby took our photo id's and charge cards and handed us the tv remote. We had to walk up three flights of stairs as there was no elevator on that side of the bulding. The rooms (we had 2) opened off one door. The carpeting was old and soiled, the counters had cigarette burns, nail polish spills, etc. There was a TV attached to the wall, and a small frig and microwave. There were no tissues, clocks, bed side lamps, and all the towels were small and thin. The furniture had stains and was tired. The bathroom was very clean, and there were a few little wrapped soaps on the tub. In the parking lot were dilapidated campers with people living in them. There was a contractor replacing tiles and counters in the bathrooms - he had not gotten to our room.
The rooms were not cheap ($80 each). We were booked here when we could not get another hotel in the area - this was the last resort (no pun intended!)
