Our family of four stayed for one night on our way to Lake Tahoe. We were in a room with a king up in a loft with a queen wall bed down stairs. It had two bathrooms. The king and queen arrangement is what attracted us to the hotel.

We had stayed at a Residence in Anaheim in February and quite liked it so were expecting the same quality. However, this Residence is definitely showing its age. The room was clean but the furnishings looked somewhat worn.

Other shortcomings:

We arrived in the evening on a hot day and the air conditioning was off. Needless to say, the room was very hot and the air conditioning did not get it cooled down even by morning.

Breakfast was adequate but not up to the quality of the Anaheim Residence.

Positives:

I had booked on Marriott's website and check in and check out was painless.

The location, for us, was excellent. It was easy to find and not far out our way. There were stores nearby to pick up some needed items.

There is a smallish pool, but our two teenagers were happy to have it.

The room was quiet and I'm quite sensitive to noise at night.

This hotel was an awesome place to stay. We had the penthouse which had a queen bed, king bed and a full size bed that was in the sofa. I loved this place. As you walked into the room, you walked into a living room with a sofa, chair, coffee table, fireplace and tv. To the left was a full kitchen. Refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker and all the pots and pans and utensils you could want. Past the living room was a room with a dinner table with 4 chairs, a desk and the queen bed pulled out of the wall. The room had a full bath downstairs. Upstairs was the king bed and another full bathroom. I tell you it was great. The room also included a full warm breakfast. Sausage, eggs, french toast or pancakes, waffles, bagels, toast, juice/coffee/milk - fruit, donuts, muffins - it was delicious and well stocked. The room was very clean and the employees were friendly and very quick to bring an extra blanket to our room and fix the tv that wasn't working properly. I can't say enough about this hotel. It felt like I was in a condo complex - and it was very quiet. I did not hear any other guests the whole time I was there. Also at the hotel was a pool, jacuzzi, and a computer in the lobby to access the internet. I would definitely stay again!

We stayed one night at this hotel on our way home from vacation. The room had 2 double beds, 1 sofa bed and a queen size bed in the loft. Check in was fast, the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and in good condition. It was nice having 2 bathrooms. We didn't get to make use of the breakfast. The girls used the hot tub. They liked it but said is was really hot!! The rooms look like townhouses, separate buildings. Our room was on the second floor of our townhouse and the mastersuite was a loft room upstairs. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again.

On a business trip, I stayed at the Residence Inn Cal Expo for 4 nights( Feb.5th through 8th). Check in and check out were quick and easy. The room was very clean. I left a few dirty dishes in the sink, expecting to wash them when I got back from business the first day, and was surprised to find that they had been washed by the staff. The breakfast buffet was much more than a continental breakfast. When I tried the complimentary dinner entries, they were very tasty. Right down the road were a Chili's, a Red Lobster, Outback Steakhouse, and a TGI Fridays. When I come back up here for vacation with my family, we will definitely stay at this hotel.

We stayed at the this hotel for one night in January and as soon as we opened the door to our unit we were knocked over by a peculiar smell. Not sure what it was, i.e stuffy room or what, but it soon dissapated after the airing out.

Room was a self contained unit but dark and dingy. We turned on the light and did not even notice this even though it was considerably dark outside. I think they need to get bigger than 10Watt globes.

In Australia, the Marriott is presumed to be close to five star so this took us by complete surprise.

The hotel is good for a stop off and there are quite a few restaurants within 200 metres or closer incldung the Red Lobster where we feasted for the night.

The positive thing was the free internet access allowing us to clear all our emails.
