I stayed at this hotel for business. It is centrally located and right across from the State Capitol, which is nice. This is a standard Hyatt hotel, very nice hotel staff and standard Hyatt food. The room was clean, but the bed was set off at an angle. The walls in the room were thin because I could hear the rumblings of the carts that the hotel personnel used because my room was next to the employee hallway. I had a couch in my room, which was good for taking naps. The bathroom door was strange in that it didn't close all the way. Food at the Hyatt is standard hotel fare. The breakfast buffet is nice because you can pick and choose whatever you want to eat. Service is great here and everyone, from the house cleaning staff to the food servers to the front desk to the doormen, was courteous and polite. Checking in and checking out was fast and efficient. Parking is $17/day, and sometimes you would have to insert your room card repeatedly before the garage gate opens. The two negatives are you have to pay for internet access and the gym. You would think that at such an expensive hotel that internet access would be included, but it's not. Even it's sister hotels, like Hawthorn Suites or Hampton Inn have free internet access. At least the front desk can print out your boarding pass for free. As for the gym, it's nice, but it's hard to get to. First, you have to go outside the building and down the stairs (if you're on the second floor and following the signs). The gym itself is nice with lots of cardio equipment, but who wants to go outside in the cold and the dark? Other than those two things, this hotel is quite nice and is typical of Hyatt.
