The Ramada is an inexpensive motel that offers great value and accommodations. It is in a convenient area northwest of downtown that has many motel choices, only 1-2 miles away from Old Sacramento, just off an entrance to I-5. The staff is very helpful and pleasant, especially the manager, Bobby. We asked for and got a quiet room away from the interstate, room 202. It was clean, large, had a king size bed, and a small fridge and microwave. Breakfast is more than adequate with cereal, waffles, bagels, muffins, yogurt, toast, fruit, etc. The dining options behind the hotel are somewhat expensive, although you get a 10 or 15% discount showing your room key. The Monterey Canning Co. had good seafood platters, but we felt that the Memphis BBQ was loud with less than adequate food--better to go into downtown to eat, especially J St., from 8th to 33rd St. has many dining options on almost every block. There is also free use of the internet on the one computer in the lobby.
All in all, we highly recommend the Ramada for anyone with wants good value in a motel and does not need to stay in downtown Sacramento.
