I've stayed here a few times. I live in Sacramento but sometimes get a room here to gather my nerves... Anyways All times room was quiet and clean and nicely decorated, lots of towels and ironing board, coffee maker in room. Showerheads are cool.

Homeless are in the area during the day but seem to stay away from the hotel...

Seems like mostly travelers stay here, not any riff raff that I have noticed.

The continental breakfast is good.

I will stay again.

Staff isn't great but the room makes up for it.

The spa was not working the last few times I stayed.

Book on their website to get a best rate, use the AAA discount if your a member.

I stayed here for one night while traveling for business. After checking in and finally getting to my room after a long day of delays and layovers at the airports, I opened the door only to find that it wasn't cleaned. The front desk clerk was more than happy to set me up with another room and was very friendly. The breakfast was limited to cereal and bagels. If you ask the front desk about a good place to eat they will give you a coupon to a great restaurant right down the street.

I have stayed here several times in the past year (travel for business). The rooms are a little dark but pretty comfortable and they have good internet access if you need it for business. The location is not downtown and only a few over-priced, mediocre restaurants are walking distance.

“Very good value and accommodations”

The Ramada is an inexpensive motel that offers great value and accommodations. It is in a convenient area northwest of downtown that has many motel choices, only 1-2 miles away from Old Sacramento, just off an entrance to I-5. The staff is very helpful and pleasant, especially the manager, Bobby. We asked for and got a quiet room away from the interstate, room 202. It was clean, large, had a king size bed, and a small fridge and microwave. Breakfast is more than adequate with cereal, waffles, bagels, muffins, yogurt, toast, fruit, etc. The dining options behind the hotel are somewhat expensive, although you get a 10 or 15% discount showing your room key. The Monterey Canning Co. had good seafood platters, but we felt that the Memphis BBQ was loud with less than adequate food--better to go into downtown to eat, especially J St., from 8th to 33rd St. has many dining options on almost every block. There is also free use of the internet on the one computer in the lobby.
All in all, we highly recommend the Ramada for anyone with wants good value in a motel and does not need to stay in downtown Sacramento.

“Not in Downtown Sacramento but near the freeway”

Ramada Limited Discovery Park

We booked this hotel in Hotwire thinking it would be in downtown Sacramento, but actually it's a 10-minute drive on the next exit from downtown Sacramento. It is near Old Sacramento. We had a room facing the freeway and the pathway smelled of urine. But once we were in our room it was fine. It was nicely decorated, and had a queen size bed. Everything was okay, no small refrigerator however. I liked their complimentary breakfast: you had a selection of cereals, pastries (even bagels!), juices and coffee was good.
