After sitting for one hour on the tarmac at Sacramento Airport waiting for United Airlines to fix my flight, we were cancelled and had to wait overnight for another flight home. United put us up at the Ramada Limited near old town in Sacramento. While myself and around a hundred other passengers showed on Ramada's doorstep at the same time, the one and only clerk, Dee Anthony, calmly took great care of all of us with a smile and grace. The hotel itself is fine and clean, a little on the older side, but comfortable and spacious. I would definately stay here again...and next time planned.

Fine hotel for quick trip to the city. Breakfast was great, make your own waffles! Donuts, cereal, yogurt, bagels, juice, etc. Not standard roll and coffee. King size bed was comfortable, room was clean. Hotel staff very nice. Would stay again.

  • Liked — large room, nice size sink area
  • Disliked — backed up to highway

very clean, friendly reception, perfect for for few days stay and compared to other higher rating hotels you are getting the same service for much less money, i really recommend this hotel.

  • Liked — clean rooms, friendly reception
  • Disliked — from the outside it looks like a motel style, while in the inside its more like a 4star hotel

We were scheduled to stay here for a week due to a class in town. We arrived to homeless people milling around the parking lot with their pillows looking into cars. We entered our room and their was a nasty odor. The toilet had feces in it and the shower curtain and tile were moldy. It was gross to say the least. Other people that were with us did not receive towels. We lasted two nights in this nightmare then checked out as I was literally feeling sick from staying there. The sheets were itchy and they smelled like extremely strong bleach(at least something was clean)I would never stay there again. It did not meet any expectations. The only good thing about it was the nice front desk women. I was shocked as Ramadas I have stayed at in the past were nice.

  • Disliked — nasty dirty

This a good place to stay if you want to be close to downtown and the interstate (I 5) but not stuck in downtown traffic and prices. We stayed four nights and found the room to be clean and comfortable. The hotel is family run and they try hard to satisfy the guests and address any problems you might have with the room or service. There is a small pool for the kids and a breakfast typical of chain hotels these days.

On the less attractive side; the owners seem to want to save money in ways that don't please customers. First of all, a 15 watt bulb of the old type is for a fridge not a hotel room. We had to drive to a shopping center to buy light bulbs for the lamps otherwise I would have gone blind. Secondly, it costs only a few more cents to give your guests half-and-half instead of a giant pitcher of milk of dubious origins. Finally, the location doesn't have much to offer in the way of eating. A few overpriced places are somewhat nearby but other than a tired old McDonald's across the way you are left to getting sandwiches from the gas station across the street. You'll have to get in the car for any alternatives. I recommend going two exits north on I5 to El Camino and turn right. A mile or so down the road are a few strip malls with most of what you might need.

Overall a good hotel that needs to reconsider some of its' money saving ideas and focus more on happy customers.

  • Liked — good location, reasonable price
  • Disliked — dim lit rooms, so so breakfast items
