This a good place to stay if you want to be close to downtown and the interstate (I 5) but not stuck in downtown traffic and prices. We stayed four nights and found the room to be clean and comfortable. The hotel is family run and they try hard to satisfy the guests and address any problems you might have with the room or service. There is a small pool for the kids and a breakfast typical of chain hotels these days.

On the less attractive side; the owners seem to want to save money in ways that don't please customers. First of all, a 15 watt bulb of the old type is for a fridge not a hotel room. We had to drive to a shopping center to buy light bulbs for the lamps otherwise I would have gone blind. Secondly, it costs only a few more cents to give your guests half-and-half instead of a giant pitcher of milk of dubious origins. Finally, the location doesn't have much to offer in the way of eating. A few overpriced places are somewhat nearby but other than a tired old McDonald's across the way you are left to getting sandwiches from the gas station across the street. You'll have to get in the car for any alternatives. I recommend going two exits north on I5 to El Camino and turn right. A mile or so down the road are a few strip malls with most of what you might need.

Overall a good hotel that needs to reconsider some of its' money saving ideas and focus more on happy customers.

Iveet - Front Desk Manager - Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Iveet was outstanding. She made phone calls for us which she certainly would not have had to do. She changed our room as she knew that we had to leave our room @ 4:00 a.m. to get to the airport on time to catch our flight back to ND. She gave us a room close to the registration area and gave us rooms on ground floor. Our luggage was extremely heavy and we (my sister and I) were traveling w/our 82 year old mother. Our mother is in great shape other than she has bad knees, making steps very hard for her to climb. I didn't even have to tell Iveet this, she just took it upon herself to do this for us. Iveet - You deserve a big pat on the back and employee recognition. Thank you from my sister and I back in North Dakota. If/when we ever get back to California, we will definitely stay @ the Ramada Limited Sacramento Hotel. Have a great day, Iveet. I know you made our stay a great stay. Cindy

I was looking for a motel right off the highway and that had a "park & fly" rate with shuttle service to Sacramento International Airport. OK, this place fit the bill. But, it came up short on cleanliness. The bed was comfortable but the room just looked old and tired. I can truthfully say the staff I encountered, both at checkin and who were walking about the property were friendly and always greeted me. Shuttle service to the airport runs on the half-hour and was prompt (going there).**
when we arrived back at Sacramento airport, I called the hotel for a shuttle to come and pick both myself and wife up. we were told the shuttle driver had taken the vanin for some type of service and was told expect atleast a 45 minute delay in picking us up. something I certainly did not want to hear after a long day of flights and connections. I asked the person if they could get ahold of the shuttle drive via phone and get me a time frame on pick-up at the airport. The desk person took down my cell phone number and assured me they would contact the driver and call me right back. well, after about 20 mins and no return call, I called back. I was told they could not get ahold of the driver or he/she was not answering their cell phone and to expect atleast another 45 mins to one hour for pick-up. In summary, It cost me $28.00 to get from the airport to the hotel. The hotel offered no compensation for something I paid for in the price of the park&fly/shuttle service. I will not stay there again. Aside from friendly staff, the only up side is that within walking distance there are several places to eat. Most a little pricey, but, what the heck, if your on vacation go for it. The next time, I will stay at the Best western for their park and fly and clean rooms.

We needed to be very close to the Sacramento Airport, as our flight was 6:30am. This was an excellent choice for us. Clean, comfortable good value for the money and within 10 miles of the airport. It didn't really look as nice on the outside of the hotel as it was on the inside. We were pleasantly surprised. There are several restaurants within walking distance of this hotel. We chose the BBQ one--the service was excellent and the food was fine.

  • Liked — Clean, very nice room

I've stayed here a few times. I live in Sacramento but sometimes get a room here to gather my nerves... Anyways All times room was quiet and clean and nicely decorated, lots of towels and ironing board, coffee maker in room. Showerheads are cool.

Homeless are in the area during the day but seem to stay away from the hotel...

Seems like mostly travelers stay here, not any riff raff that I have noticed.

The continental breakfast is good.

I will stay again.

Staff isn't great but the room makes up for it.

The spa was not working the last few times I stayed.

Book on their website to get a best rate, use the AAA discount if your a member.
