Nice place. Was there for two nights for business. I faced the river, so other rooms facing the highway could be noisy. AC worked fine and the room was clean. Continental breakfast was good too. Overall, good place for the price.

I highly recommend this hotel for school groups - they advertise that they are "school friendly" and that is an accurate description. When our bus full of 35 teen-agers and 8 chaperones arrived, all our keys were ready, in order, and with the occupants' names on them. The rooms were clean and comfortable and they placed the girls on one floor and the boys on another - EXCELLENT planning that we ourselves didn't even think about.

The staff kindly volunteered the dining area for an impromptu pizza dinner for a noisy, hungry bunch of teen-agers. Very brave of them.

The breakfast is very substantial, with a good variety to please all. All items were promptly re-stocked throughout the serving time. All service was prompt and pleasant and staff was accomodating of all requests.

An added bonus - the guests who looked with great fear at a busload of students emptying into the hotel all claimed that they didn't hear a thing all night and that our presence at breakfast was not an inconvenience due to the great service.

I love the La Quinta Hotels. I like to travel with my two small dogs, and they are always welcome at the La Quinta Inns. Nice breakfast, waffles, boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, muffins, etc.
The only problem is that they didn't give us soap or shampoo. I had to ask the front desk for a bar of soap. They told me that they didn't have shampoo. We had a pool view which was nice.
Planning on staying again soon. Nice location too.

The is one of the worse La Quinta Inn I stayed booking through Hotwire ($58; rated 2.5 stars). Stayed one night before heading to our Tahoe ski trip. Checked in was so easy : Just my last name and I got the room key in 20 seconds. That's it! No ID, no credit card, no nothing.

The original room was close to the freeway. We asked the front desk lady and she was helpful to got us a room right along the swimming pool. That was much better even though we didn't use any other facility except the room. Found some trashes while walking around but I guess that was just left from the hotel guests. Room was smaller than normal but clean, expect the bathroom ceiling. Free wireless internet can be accessed in room.
Breakfast bar was simple but enough for us to skipped breakfast off-site. There is also a fitness center right next to the breakfast area. IMHO, it probably not quite deserves the 2.5 stars since the room is so small. I think I can find a much better deal with the price I paid. I will not come back again.
