The Hampton Inn is a fairly new hotel located convienently in the Natomas area not too far from the airport or downtown. The hotel is also located next to 2 other hotels, most importantly the Homewood Suites, because you can get in on their Manager's Reception (evening food & drinks). There are also other good restaurants nearby like Malabar. The front desk staff is very accomodating and they offer evening cookies. The rooms are a good size, are very clean, and feature microwaves and refridgerators.

We had our family of 5 in a fairly large room with two Queen beds and a pull-out couch... only thing that was kind of different about it was that the pull-out was in the same room as the beds.

The one television was on a wall between the beds and the couch, so you couldn't really angle the TV to be able to see from both areas... you had to choose and angle and there wasn't enough room in either spot for all of us to sit and watch. Probably wouldn't have been a big deal, but the Olympics were on and we were tuned in for the last Michael Phelps race especially. :)

There were also nails sticking up where the carpet met the tile in the bathroom area.

The only other crazy thing was the way the lights for the bathroom worked... the inner light (shower, toilet) was on the same switch as the outer light (sink, mirror), so when one of us had to use the bathroom in the night, we had the choice of lighting up the entire room or finding our way in the dark.

Other than those things, we enjoyed our one night stay. The kids loved the pool. We really love the bedding at Hampton. The comforters are fantastic. The breakfast was fine. Nothing fantastic... but fine. Plenty of room to sit while we were eating, which has been a problem at some hotels we've visited.

Everything seemed clean, which is important to us.

Stayed one night last month to catch an early morning flight and enjoyed my limited stay.

The free shuttle from and to the airport was quick and prompt. The shuttle drivers were friendly and tried to provide small talk during the drive.

Check-in was efficient and the front desk personnel friendly and helpful. When I told him I had an early flight the next day he gave me a breakfast-to-go bag right away.

The room was spacious with a microwave and small frig. Although the hotel is fairly new, some of the furnishings had some worn spots. But overall the room was nice and clean. The closet was rather small though.

The breakfast area was very roomy with many tables. I did not have breakfast at the hotel due to my early flight but did pick up some fruits and free cookies the night before.

The hotel is close to the freeway and some background noise can be heard in the room but it was not significant. There is a shopping area nearby with some restaurants within walking distance. ARCO arena is also nearby. Holiday Inn Express is just about next door and a new Homewood Suites is being built in between.

Overall I had a pleasant one night stay and would stay here again if I'm in the area.

This is a very nondescript, typical interstate variety Hampton Inn... three miles from the Sacramento Airport, and near the ARCO Arena. There are fast food and chain restaurants, and a grocery store all within easy walking distance.

It's a functional place to stopover on the way to somewhere else, like to catch an early flight out of the airport the next day. Nothing special.
