No surprises Fairfield Inn. Friendly staff, clean room, good breakfast included, airport shuttle as promised. Good value for the $.

This hotel is in the middle of nowhere (or at least it seems). We recently stayed there to explore Sacramento and go to the STATE fair. It really is not far from where we needed to go, but it is not conventiently located to the hustle and bustle of the city.

PROS:

*Couldn't be any closer to the 80 Freeway
*Quiet
*Clean

CONS:
*Small pool
*Spa is needing re-surfacing b/c is was very scratchy and my suit stuck to it
*Business center does not have a color printer
*Wireless internet in room constantly cuts out
*No Fridges unless you get a suite

Reccommendations for Restaurants: Chevy's off Garden has a fabulous view :)

Warning: Do not get any food from the Chevron in the parking lot, it was infested with bugs, and the manager didn't seem to care

Stayed at this property for one night after a week in Tahoe (prior to an early AM departure the next morning from the Sacramento Airport) . Overall great experience.

Property was very clean, staff friendly, included breakfast was above average for qualtiy and variety. Did not use any of the hotel amenties or have much interaction with Staff but for less than a $100 it was perfect for our family needs and less than 15 minutes to the airport.

In addition, there is a large mall area within 5 minutes from the hotel with many dining, shopping, and entertainment options.

Here's the deal. We were just passing through the area while on vacation, purely to visit the UC Davis campus, and needed a one-nighter. The Fairfield was perfect - very clean, good continental spread, nice pool (w / towels) and jacuzzi, fitness room, VERY friendly and helpful staff.

On check-in, our TV was broadcasting in B/W for some reason. Called the front desk, maintenance on scene in minutes, problem fixed. Needed directions to a retaurant, called the front desk, printed copy of Google directions and map delivered to the room. Free wireless internet service, quick connection, no problems.

Depends on the reason you're in the area, but the location was great for us. Very close to Hwy 80 and I-5, Starbucks, Chevy's, the river pathway, etc. but still out in the middle of an ag area - flower fields of some sort, which meant the place was nice and quiet.

Room w / 2 queen beds = $103 per night. I disagree that this place is "average." For the price particularly, I think it's definitely above average, and a good deal for a Davis or Sacramento stopover.
