I stayed at the Fairfield Inn for meeting in Sacramento. The property is adjacent to Interstate 80. It is located in the Natomas area of Sacramento, but it is just Northeast of West Sacramento and about ten minutes from downtown Sacramento.
Next to the property is a Holiday Inn Express, Burger King & Truck Stop. There is also golf driving range just north of the property if you happend to have your golf clubs. The driving range offers both mats and grass to hit off of.
Check in at the Fairfield Inn Natomas was very friendly and smooth. My room was a mini suite with separate small seating area and mini fridge and microwave. T.V. & DVD Player, IPOD docking station. Many channels offered on the T.V. Small desk and chair in the seating area. Kind of tight with desk chair. The room was well lit and clean. Larger bedroom with small closet and separate t.v. The bed was comfortable. The room was quiet and despite it being near Interstate 80 I did not hear much exterior noise.
The cleaning crew did a good job of cleaning the room. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. One of the best I've come across after many stays at other properties.
There is also a small pool on the property. A workout room and a free breakfast with limited items. There are also two computers with free internet access in the lobby. Easy access to the online computers. Breakfast area gets busy in the morning.
Food offerings are average. Complimentary USA today newspaper.
Recommend eating nearby at Applebees down the freeway.
El Pollo Locco on South Northgate. The Virgin Sturgeon on the Sacramento River. Further eating establishments the Waffle House on El Camino & Fulton Ave. for Breakfast. Continental Asian Buffet on Howe and north of Alta Arden. Pattaya Cafe for Thai on Watt Ave.
This is a good economic property if you need to be near the airport, Natomas area, near West Sacramento. Recommend for business, family or just driving through. If you can get a good rate, I highly recommend this property.
