My husband and I just returned from Sacramento after 4 days visiting family in the Natomas area. From previous trips, we've discovered that other hotels in the area are either dumpy or way overpriced because of their proximity to the airport. We were VERY pleased with the Fairfield and will stay there on future trips. It's convenient just off I-80 and priced reasonably. The "weekend" rate on-line was $94/night, which is good for that area, but we got it for $80/night with AAA. (No AARP discount.)
Clean, nicely decorated and maintained facility and room. Excellent bed..one of the best in our hotel experience with plenty of pillows and quality linens. Bathroom had toiletries and hairdryer, coffee maker and wonderful shower with a strong spray. My only complaint about the bathroom was that there is no exhaust fan so it gets pretty steamy.
The room was a bit cramped with a King bed and lounge chair with ottoman, but otherwise met all our needs.
You get a newspaper at your door in the AM.
The continental breakfast is well stocked and served in a large attractive room with a fireplace and large flat screen tv. Breakfast included hardboiled eggs, oatmeal with toppings, bacon and egg sandwiches you could heat in the microwave, cereals, rolls, bagels, muffins, fruit, and u-bake waffles.
The employees were all very friendly and helpful, greeting us and asking if we needed anything. The lady overseeing the lounge area even thanked us for coming to have breakfast!
We will definitely stay there again!
