I travel to Sacramento on business and stayed at Springhill for about a month in Apr 08. For the price, it's not a bad place to lay your head. The rooms are not true suites and more like regular hotel rooms, but with a little more in terms of a fridge and a couch and chair upon entry. The location is a little off the beaten path from the airport or from downtown sacramento and there are a few places nearby to eat (ex., baja fresh, carls jr., in-n-out, etc.) There isn't anything overly impressive about the hotel and the service leaves a little something to be desired (clogged tub, forgotten wake-up call, broken ice machine, etc.). The fitness center here is very small, only 3 three cardio machines, no weights, but there is a running path nearby and residential and commercial areas that don't boast a lot of traffic so you can feel safe running outdoors. There is a hot breakfast in the mornings with scrambled eggs, sausage, and potatoes, as well as other breakfast items like cereal, bagels, juice, yogurt, waffles, etc. I decided to switch and try out some other places mainly because of the service issues and just to try something new.
