I love this place! Tony had retired a few years ago and I was so disappointed. But...he's back!!! Hours are limited so call first ,but you won't be sorry if you go. The best food in town and the nicest people. It has it's own atmosphere, nothing fancy, just a homey feeling but he's got all the fancy places beat hands down on the food! The prices are more than fair. He has spaghetti, meatball sandwiches and I love the cheese bread! They make their own salad dressings which is also bottled and sold. Grab you date and go, you won't be disappointed!

“The only pepper steak in Sacramento”

34 years ago, I was on a date with what is now my ex-husband. He took me to Tony Baloney's for a pepper steak sandwich. I was guaranteed the best sandwich in town. I no longer live in Sacramento (unfortunately), but when I visit my daughter and grandchildren, I always go to Tony's. Not all memories are so bad in life. I hear you are back and I will be soon for a visit, too. See you there!

“What I miss most about Sacramento”

On many occasions, I've attempted to make a meatball as good as Tony's. Many years ago, I lived near this restaurant and have tasted most of the food on the menu. Sorry Subway, Tony's meatball sub is second to none.

Keep it up Tony! And perhaps someday you may decide to share your recipe.
