We just returned from our stay. We reserved a 2 bd suite, #1309 in the main building. I booked it directly through the hotel website and confirmed my reservation 48 hours prior to arriving. Check-in was a breeze and the hotel staff was friendly. I was somewhat apprehensive about our reservation after reading the reviews but am happy to have had no problem. The unit featured two separate bedrooms with queen beds, a bathroom on each side with separate vanity area. The living area was large, a queen pull out sofa, two chairs and one ottoman. The convenience of the kitchen was great. It had a full size refrigerator which we took full advantage of , a 4 burner range, a dishwasher, and a microwave. The unit included dishes for 4 people, coffee mugs, wine glasses, silverware, etc. The bedding seemed new as well as all 3 air-conditioners. A hot breakfast was included in the price. It was very good. The first morning we had bacon, eggs, waffles, toast, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, coffee, juice, cereals and even cappaccino. The next morning was similar except they substituted sausage and potatoes for the waffles and bacon. The hotel has free shuttle service which runs every 1/2 hr to the Capitol, Old Town Sac, the airport, Amtrak and several other places. This was great since parking downtown is not cheap. The room keys even have restaurant discounts on them. It is walking distance to Hungry Hunter, The Rusty Duck (which has a beautiful view of the river), Memphis BBQ (good deal & good food) Lyon's retaurant, a seafood restaurant and McDonalds. The outdoor pool (open 8am-10pm) was heated to 85 and the spa was at 102. Overall, we had a great stay and will definitely stay there again. Our total bill each night was $191.50. with AAA discount. A great weekend for our Girl Scout Outing.
