Staying at this C.I was nice because of the location. It was near U S 50 with easy on and off, ("on" if you ask the desk staff how to do it) and Howe Ave will take you north to many resturants and the Arden Mall and Cal Expo. The motel having been around for a time shows, I think, a little ware and could stand some new furniture. The desk staff gave the appearance of not caring if we stayed at their motel. The room # 137 with 2 queen beds was of adequate size with all bathroom facilities in a separate room. Bathoom equipment worked but somewhat wornout. Microwave and Refrig was a nice touch. The breakfast area was a good size with 6 to 8 tables and breakfast selection was both hot and cold. The selections were a little sparse but it did the trick until lunch. During our stay we found parking a problem as to finding a place. The parking area is small and with contractors using the motel and bringing their PU's and larger trucks parking was tight. Besides finding a spot the parking spaces are very narrow. We choose this CI for its location. To do it again we would pick hotel around the Cal Expo - Arden Fair Mall area.

What an excellent stay - the Comfort Inn was entirely helpful to my son & I in every way. First - they did NOT charge me for having to alter my reservation 24 hrs. in advance. They were entirely accomodating about how to drive there from Santa Cruz - & about finding my needs in the vicinity - tho' I calling several times to get driving directions - they were KIND, PATIENT, and responsible EVERY time I needed advice.
Rooms are very nice - bathroom impeccable, free breakfast was excellent, & the free internet was helpful too.
I also felt VERY safe there - minutes from the University, and although I had to come in very late at night from a lecture, the desk staff was nice & accomodating. They responded to our every need, and were courteous and concerned for our comfort.
In addition, in my rush leaving I left a bag there - they sent it back to me w/a camera, sweater, medications, etc. all intact - they did not even charge me for the postage! You can imagine my relief at their expediting my personal effects. They were responsible, efficient and did all they could at every turn to be sure I was happy with everything. Topping it off was there concern for returning my bag pronto - they continued to care for the customer (even after they leave!) "Rog" is the manager - he called me immediately and saw to everything himself.
The beds were extremely comfortable & everything worked to a "T". It initially took me quite some time to pick this Inn as I was unfamiliar w/Sacramento, and I must say the Inn made things a LOT easier for me with their consistent help and support when I called them (frequently!!) asking for directions, advice, etc.
I plan to return to Sacramento, and will stay here even if it's not the closest place to the point I'm going because I can count on the reliable service and assistance here - they greatly eased my trip to Sacramento and I was able to do things in a timely manner because of their kindness & advice.

I would only stay there again if I brought my own pillows. My wife and I hate sleeping on feather pillows, and our king sized bed had five of them. When I called the front desk to ask for a cotton pillow, they said they only have one kind of pillow. Otherwise, the room was nice. The breakfast spread included make your own belgian waffles, sausages, cereal, bagels, english muffins, and what I'd call egg patties, which was the only thing I didn't like.

My wife and I just stayed at this Comfort Inn (5-8-05) and were really pleased with our stay. The hotel was clean and bright in both the public areas and our room. The complimentary breakfast was more than what we expected too. There was a good variety of hot and cold fare to choose from; a waffle maker too. A staff worker was in constant attendance of the food area and made sure coffee was in good supply and that the eating area remained clean. Two computers for guest usage were available with printing being the only thing charged (a nice amenity if you want to print your Southwest boarding pass early!). The staff was friendly and accomodated us nicely.

Location was central for our stay (attending a wedding and visiting relatives). A Chevron gas station is located on the next property to the hotel.

For the price and our prior experiences with the budget hotel world, we would recommend this hotel to our friends and family

**Driving Caution!**
If you are planning to get to this hotel by exiting right on Howe Ave from highway 50 east, be ready to turn into the entrance of Comfort Inn quite soon. As you exit the off-ramp to turn right (going west), there will be a Good Night Inn on your righthand side. The Comfort Inn driveway comes up right after the Good Night Inn. If you miss it, you'll have to make a U-Turn farther down Howe (westbound) and then go all the way back down Howe (eastbound), over highway 50 and make another U-Turn.
