I stayed two nights at the Embassy Suites Sacramento to check out the local college. My original intention was to use the self parking though because I could not find the lot I just used valet (even after tip valet is cheaper, however I don’t think you get in and out privileges). The bell and valet staffs seemed eager to help and were very informed when it came to directions and such.

The front desk was literally right in front of the entrance (just a couple steps). This was a poor design on their part because you always walked into a large crowed of people and a mess of luggage when walking to your room. As a gold member, per request, I was upgraded to a top floor river view.

The room was very new looking and was very nicely decorated. Marble counter tops, two closets, free internet, and a ceiling fan were just a few of the amenities I don’t see in every Embassy Suites.

The manager’s reception was standard affair. The bartenders were all very personable and were eager to have you try their custom mix drinks (Give them a try, their not bad). The breakfast was also standard affair. Cook to order omelets and everything else is buffet style.

The location was wonderful. Old Town was just across the street and when you walk to the front of the building you see out state’s capital on one side and the historic Tower Bridge on the other. On a side note, I highly recommend going to Joe’s Crab Shack just across the street on the water. The food was great, the prices were reasonable and it was just a fun place to eat. However the wait can be more than an hour (what we did was put our name down, went back to the hotel and had our free drinks at the manager’s reception and came back).

This had to be one of the best Embassy Suites I have ever stayed at. I loved sitting in the magnificent atrium while watching all of the different people come in and out. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

New hotel right on the Sacramento River, with views of a beautiful bridge. Across the street is Old Town Sacramento with wonderful shops, great eats (Joe's Crab Shack!!) and the Railroad Museum. But that's not all, besides the room being lovely, clean and large, the bed being very comfortable with lots of soft pillows, and all; we got a complimentary manager's reception in the evening, with free chips and dips AND complimentary adult beverages!! Oh, and then, we got a free breakfast with made to order omlets, and other goodies. Can't beat it. Oh, they also had a four star restaurant downstairs and they sold some lovely pies. The service everywhere was fantastic, especially from the Manager himself, who was attentive to people himself, very hands-on, and is probably responsible for this hotel being such a success--Charles was his name. It was just great. Will return again and again.

Feb. 19th, 2007 - My wife and I stayed for the first time at an Embassy Suite. We bought tickets to see Disney On Ice at Arco Arena which is about 10-15 minutes from the hotel with easy freeway access.. Its located right across the street from Old Town Sacramento. Convienient, very clean. Suites are spacious and the beds are super comfortable and believe me when I say, there are PLENTY of pillows, like 6 per bed. All rooms are located/face inside the atrium. Two resturaunts on premises with a small cocktail lounge. For each night booked, you recieve a comp buffet breakfast which has the usuals: eggs (cooked to order) bacon, sausage, cereals, muffins, juices, fresh fruit and coffee.
You have your choice of parking. Pick the hotel. It's $18.00 per night and parked on premise in an underground parking lot by the valet. The public garage across the street is $20.00 per day.
We had both a lunch and dinner in the promenade resturaunt. Service was excellent and reasonable.. Only downside, I couldn't take the bed home with me. Right across the street is OLD Sacramento. A historical portion of the way it was back in the late 1800's/early 1900's, with alot of shops for the tourist to browse in.

The hotel is decent, the room is a typical Embassy Suites. The front desk people were slow to check people in. Then at 1:30AM they call to get something from my room. Ruined my night sleep. I mean could this not have waited until the morning?

If you are in Sacremento for business, I would not trust this hotel if a good night's sleep in needed.

I sometimes have to stay overnight in Sacramento while visiting my firm's office there. The Embassy Suites is several blocks away and very convenient.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and huge. Room 809 is my favorite - it has a fabulous view of the historical draw bridge over the Sacramento River.

The nightly tariff includes a full breakfast in the morning. The valet parking, while pricy, is quick and efficient. Room Service is fast and good.

I highly recommend it. Caveat: book early, they sometimes fill up with meetings.
