My daughter and I stayed at this Marriott with a group during a recent soccer tournament. Overall, the rooms were pleasant and clean; the beds were comfortable. The only issue we had was that one of the lamps wasn't working (probably a bad bulb). The lobby and public areas of this hotel are really open and inviting. The hotel has a very nice outdoor pool and hot tub - the kids really enjoyed that.

As for the real surprise, this hotel has a restaurant that serves good food and has a decent wine list. Several people in our group also remarked on the excellent the food-wine pairings available for dinner, which is a real bonus given that this is a Courtyard Marriott.

“Bad Service”

The hotel lobby is nice enough, though the rooms are dated and decor is not very pleasant. The maid service was not good - we found a candy bar wrapper under our sheets. Also, when the maid came to service our room, she neglected to give us toilet paper, soap, and shampoo. When I called the front desk to ask for some, it took an hour for housekeeping to finally get to my room and when he did, he basically threw the items at me (he was extremely rude). Definitely stay elsewhere if you value good service & clean rooms.

I stayed in the Courtyard by Marriott Sacramento. The hotel was beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond my expectations. It was a home away from home. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Sacramento area.

Located close to all freeways, downtown and the UC Davis Medical Center, this is an exceptionally nice Courtyard hotel. It is very quiet despite its location and looks more like a full blown Marriott hotel than a Courtyard. Room rates are decent. On weekends one can get an especially good deal. Rooms are large and well furnished. Spacious public and business area. Cleanliness is immaculate. Beautiful outside swimming pool, surprising for a city hotel. Lots of free parking.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights last week and my stay was fantastic. The rooms were very comfortable and had a large amount of space for me to keep all my belongings (I was moving and needed a lot of space!)
Everything was clean and in working order and having the refrigerator and the microwave was a great plus.
The restaurant was great and the service was fantastic. Everyone was so polite and helpful throughout the hotel.
We also spent the afternoons out by the pool which was stocked with fresh towels and lounge chairs. The location is great for Sacramento, only a five minute trip on the highway to downtown and across from the hospitals if you are here to visit them. The parking is free which is a great deal considering it is almost $30 downtown! I had a great stay here and would highly recommend the Courtyard Midtown to anyone who wants a great stay in a great hotel! Enjoy!
