I've played most public and private courses in the Sacramento region and feel that Teal Bend is definitely a cut above most courses open to the public and very much above those owned by the city and county of Sacramento. The course itself is a good test, depending on the tees from which you play. The course is playable in wet weather and the greens are firm and true. Plenty of practice facilities. Staff is friendly and helpful. Great place for a tournament. One tip: Unless you're a good player who hits it straight, bring along enough balls to allow for 4-6 balls into the rough where you either can't find 'em or are not allowed to trespass for environmental sake.
