I had a few reservations (pun not intended) after reading some of the bad reviews for this property, but it's my experience to take these reviews with a grain of salt. For the most part, I believe dissatisfied folks are more prone to leaving negative feedback, while folks who had no problems will not bother to leave any feedback at all. I like seeing negative feedback, particularly whether the management was able/unable to deal with particular issues competently and professionally.
That said, I liked my stay here. I read that this is an older property and that things are "run down." That may have been the case a few months ago, but from the outside, the property looks pretty good. There are rooms that face inner courtyards that belie the "motel" feel, as well as rooms that face the parking lot that confirm the "motel" feel. The inner couryards were pleasing and quiet and had a few gazebos to hang out in if you wanted.
I stayed in a poolside non-smoking room in which there was absolutely no smoke odor or fragrance-covering-up-smoke (as opposed to those "non-smoking" rooms in Las Vegas). The room was well appointed and a decent size, with a king bed, microwave oven, mini-fridge, a/c heater fan, blow dryer, iron, coffee maker, TV, etc. Nothing "run down" inside. The bed was comfortable.
Some very minor issues: the bath towels were a bit small and not as plush and the hot water never really got hot.
A free continental breakfast was served in a breakfast room just off the pool and had a decent spread.
I was able to get a great rate off the hotel's website. Check all possible rates, because it turned out their best available rate beat the AAA, senior and government/military rates.
