If you want the best BBQ in Sacramento and I mean the BEST! Try Texas West Bar-B-Que at 1600 Fulton Ave. This is mouth watering, wonderful food and service.

Hmmm. Once upon a time about five or seven years ago, when I lived in midtown Sac, the best BBQ in the city was at a little sort of shack at what was it, 20th or 21st and L or Cap, or thereabouts, the place was called "Mary's" after the woman who owned it. Everything was cooked on a portable smoker parked in the small lot in front of the establishment. You could smell the delectible scent for blocks around. You had your choice of mild, hot, or "hot hot" sauce, and the "hot hot" was definitely the real thing.

Mary's closed suddenly and unexpectedly (at least to me) and then I had to go to Texas West for BBQ.

I dunno, but perhaps the original poster is a bit conflicted. Or maybe Mary's cooking there nowadays.
