This isn't just a boat, it's the sister ship to the one that cruises the Mississippi, except that this one stays docked. Try this hotel if you're looking for a destination. It is only a couple of steps from Old Sac, with it's shops and food and music, but we chose the Delta King for our anniversary because we wanted... more

I thought this would be a fun place to stay, on a old stationary riverboat in the middle of Old Town Sacramento. I even paid extra for a riverside room with a better view. When I got there, we were given a dockside room, with only a partial riverview (if you go outside and crane your neck). This was even... more

We recently spent a weekend in Sacramento and stayed aboard the historic Delta King, a riverboat converted to a floating hotel that is permanently moored adjacent to Front Street in Old Sacramento. Upon check-in we were upgraded to a larger room, which turned out to be a very good thing, as even the larger room was quite small. I should... more

I recently stayed on The Delta King for a night I was in town for business. I'm so sick of the corporate accomodations and price tags for a room I won't ever remember. Well, that was not the case with the Delta King. I loved the charming rooms of this truly unique and historic riverboat. Small but with everything I... more

The Delta King is a wonderfully unique place to stay. The rooms were, indeed, small, but as we had booked the boat for a "different" kind of hotel experience- fed up with corporate rooms and homogenous suites- we loved everything about it. The breakfast in the morning was absolutely brilliant- fresh berries, delicious pastries etc- and the dining room was... more

Even tho this review headline shows "Long Beach" it is in Old Town Sacramento. An old refurbished river boat. The first room we were assigned, the water from both the hot and cold faucet in the bathroom dribbled out very hot, and letting it run didnot help. We had to run the water in the bathtub to get water to... more

We stayed here one night on Sept 8th for $113/night. It was a room on the '4th' floor with the 3rdfloor being the lobby level. Yes, the room was small but very quaint. The bed was nice and the bathroom cute with the unique toilet and pedestal sink. Yes, the floor slanted but this is a ship and there is... more

We stayed 1 night as part of a trip around california it was perfect. This authentic paddle steamer is moored next to the historical park in sacramento. The rooms were small but beautiful and made you feel transported to the 1930's .The restaurant on the boat provided the best meal we had during our whole USA trip, the staff were... more

We were really looking forward to staying on this old steamboat and had planned two nights. Access from the street is terrible for older folks like us. Valet parking ($18/day) is a must as there is no parking close by. From the Valet, we had to walk about 50 ft across two sets of RR tracks and some very rough... more
