In an episode of the classic British comedy "Are You Being Served?", Mrs. Slocombe asks Captain Peacock "Just how good is a one-star hotel?" to which he responds: "Let me put it to you this way: there is no such thing as a naught (zero) star hotel." In all deference to the good Captain, for whom I have everlasting affection,... more

As a business traveller, the hotel was a great value. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the service at the front desk was professional. The wireless internet worked well. The hotel's proximity to the airport made it very convienient. The relationship they have with a seafood restaurant behind their location provided a great dinner in easy walking distance plus... more

Stopped here for Saturday/Sunday in September 09 Didn't (and still don't really) know Sacrament, so chosen it through pot-luck. Goods: Close enough to walk into Old Sacramento along the bike-trail alongside the river, takes about 30 minutes. Close to three eateries (four if you count MacDonalds, but I don't) Close to parks and river Cheapish for a city hotel Continental... more

The rooms are large, nicely decorated and the location is fantastic. For the price it can't be beat. Dee and Ineet, the receptionists were very helpful and very friendly! more

We have stayed at this Ramada 10 + times. Mostly for medical reasons and their close proximity to U C Davis medical center. Naturally after a medical procedure comfort and cleanliness is important to us. We usually book a room adjucant to the pool/spa area for just a few dollars more the room is much larger with a large sliding... more

The hotel is rather outdated. The rooms are not that nice. They have that old grungy scent. I stayed overnite with my kids but really couldnt wait to leave next morning. Just not pleasent but will do for a night. more

I stayed in Ramada over the weekend for my snowboarding trip. It's right off highway 5 and very easy to find. It beats from driving all the way to Tahoe from SF that takes 4 hours minimum. Saved me lots of rest and check-in was literally minutes. They served free continental breakfast and was surprised to find mid-afternoon snacks after... more

I always stay here on the way to Tahoe for snowboarding and when going to concerts in Sacramento. The place is conveniently located off of I-5 and close to shopping and food at Truxel. It's the perfect halfway point between the bay area and Lake Tahoe. I am always greeted with warm smiles and enthusiasm even when I arrive in... more

We were "guaranteed" the reservation. Knowing I had a long trip, I called the hotel at 7:00pm to let them know I would be there around 11pm. The clerk verified my "King" room and said no problem. We got in at 1045 and were told that they gave away our room despite my telephone call but were told that after... more

After sitting for one hour on the tarmac at Sacramento Airport waiting for United Airlines to fix my flight, we were cancelled and had to wait overnight for another flight home. United put us up at the Ramada Limited near old town in Sacramento. While myself and around a hundred other passengers showed on Ramada's doorstep at the same time,... more
